On the autumnal eve of Saturday, September 28th, 2024, within the haunted halls of the historic Redford Theatre, the FESTIVAL OF DARKNESS returns. Prepare to be immersed within a meticulous selection of 13 short films, a tapestry of darkness, introspection and horror woven by local and distant filmmakers, unfolding over 95 haunting minutes.  (View the 2024 Schedule)

Admission is available online for $10, with the remains sold at the door prior to the event. Half of all ticket sales go to support the continued preservation and operations of the Redford Theatre.  Doors open at 7pm with showtime beginning at 8pm.

NEW VENUE - The Festival of Darkness is now hosted at Detroit’s iconic Redford Theatre, a revitalized historic 1920s theater once christened “Detroit’s most unique suburban theatre” for its grand design adorned with Japanese and Chinese motifs. With 1,610 seats, a classic concession stand, and secure parking, immerse yourself fully in the magic of cinema amidst the shadows.
