On the autumnal eve of Saturday, October 7th 2023, in the shadowy embrace of a resurrected century-old church, the Festival of Darkness returns. Within the hallowed walls, a meticulous selection of 12 short films, a spectacle of darkness and horror crafted by local and distant filmmakers, shall grace the screen for approximately 90 haunting minutes.  (View the 2023 Schedule)

The Festival of Darkness is hosted at The Narthex, a reanimated historic 1900’s church located within the East Canfield neighborhood of Detroit. Seating will include pew benches and individual seats for up to 250 patrons.
